Clinical Profile & Philosophy
The core tenants of my therapeutic philosophy are trust, compassion and care. When you come into my office, I want you to feel relaxed and know that this is a space for growth and healing. As part of making the therapy space inviting and casual, you should know that I love humor and I’m always very interested in learning more about the things you care about. While we will have specific goals for treatment and will continually incorporate those goals into our discussions, know that my belief is that your therapy session is your time. Meaning, whatever you want to talk about that day is what we are going to be talking about. This connects to the primary treatment modalities that I implement in sessions which are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) as well as psychoeducation. Through our work together, my hope is that you gain a heightened understanding of yourself. Through that understanding, my hope is that you will experience greater emotional regulation, confidence, and happiness! While I have experience working with patient populations across the lifespan with various areas of presenting needs, I currently predominately work with teenagers and adults. Special areas of experience and knowledge base include anxiety, life goal setting/completion, and interpersonal relationship dynamics. I look forward to working together!
Fun Fact
I love to be outdoors! Fishing, rock climbing, camping, surfing, and hiking to name a few of my favorites. I love doing these things with friends and family (particularly with my dog, Rawley)!
