Clinical Profile & Philosophy
I attended the VCU School of Social Work for both my undergrad and graduate degrees. During my time as a master's student, I conducted individual and group therapy with teens and adults. I created two groups during my clinical internship that covered topics of mindfulness and grief and loss. Currently, I am an intensive in-home counselor working with children and families. I utilize strategies and approaches from CBT/DBT, motivational interviewing, skill modeling, behavioral modification, and unconditional positive regard. Clinical philosophies I pull from are person-in-environment, family systems theory, and trauma-informed care. I enjoy working to bring about connection and understanding with parents and their children. I believe everyone is deserving of mental health care and I am grateful to provide it.
