Clinical Profile & Philosophy

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with many years of experience engaging with people who are seeking a better understanding of themselves and the life they want to lead.  I offer a safe and empathic space to support clients as they find renewed hope and create a framework for the peace they are seeking.  I use a mix of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, person-centered therapy, and motivational interviewing--respecting individual choices and readiness for change.  I like to incorporate mindfulness practices and other skills to help clients reach their goals.

My experience includes providing therapy to youth and parents and working within the Department of Social Services.  I have addressed needs within those systems including out-of-home placements, grandparents as new parental caregivers, parenting education and support, anger management, hoarding, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and other traumas.  My focus is on healing from trauma so clients do not feel overwhelmed and bound by those experiences, but they can feel empowered to live the life they choose.

Fun Fact

In my free time, I enjoy being with my family and my pets (three kitties and a dog!), gardening,  crafts, and travel.
