Clinical Profile & Philosophy
I believe therapy assists in explaining the why behind behaviors and helps clients become one step closer to meaningful change. I take a person-centered approach to my work, and treat clients as individuals with specific needs, using rapport building and the development of a comfortable therapeutic relationship. I hope clients gain the confidence to become advocates for themselves, while learning and implementing skills for effective coping along the way. I use DBT, CBT, trauma-focused, person-centered, narrative, emotion-focused, motivational-interviewing, and solution-focused therapy strategies throughout my practice. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families providing therapy, crisis services, and care coordination. I love working with teens and adults, with anxiety, trauma, relationship barriers, life transitions, and other challenging life stressors.
Fun Fact
I am a dog mom to a Pitty and Frenchie brother duo, and I'm obsessed with them. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, learning to crochet, going on scenic walks, trying new local restaurants, reading, and lounging by the pool or on the beach.
