Clinical Profile & Philosophy
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and currently provide outpatient therapy services. My experience has included working in a college counseling center, residential treatment facility, and community-based services for a variety of populations and presenting needs. I strongly believe that a trusting and positive relationship between the therapist and client is foundational in making change. I often utilize an integrative approach in my work with clients to include Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, person-centered therapy, trauma-focused approaches, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. My lens through which I conceptualize client needs and issues is often through a Relational-Cultural Theory framework to promote growth-fostering relationships and move toward connection. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe place and support with achieving goals, building autonomy, increasing insight, and improving quality of life.
Fun Fact
I have two pugs that I love very much, and I love going hiking and being surrounded by nature when at all possible!
