Clinical Profile & Philosophy
KateRose has experience working with children and adults with varying mental health concerns through community-based services, the school setting, and at a clinic for children with Autism. She uses person-centered, strength-based approaches to empower clients to improve their quality of life, develop autonomy, and create sustainable change. KateRose utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques and interventions to teach clients to identify how thoughts and emotions impact actions/behaviors, how to change unhelpful thought patterns, learn core skills of mindfulness, acceptance and distress tolerance skills, emotional regulation skills, improve interpersonal effectiveness, and create a life worth living. Her goal is to ensure that clients feel seen, heard, and supported and that they are equipped with the tools to improve their overall mental health and wellbeing.
