Clinical Profile & Philosophy

I believe the human brain, which guides behavior, is capable of flexibility and change. Therapy can be used to teach a client skills and techniques to maximize the brain’s capacity for change. The brain’s adaptability allows clients to reshape their habits, beliefs and emotional reactions. This leads individuals to experience more freedom in their lives. My approach begins with listening deeply and ensuring that I truly understand each client’s experiences and needs. Drawing from evidenced based modalities, I tailer sessions to meet the client's individual needs throughout therapy. Each person has their own answers, I am a guide to helping them find these answers. Clients who work with me can expect an atmosphere of kindness, respect, warmth, humor, and partnership. I consider it an honor to hear each person’s story and to walk alongside them as they navigate their life’s challenges.

The primary purpose is to help clients move towards greater self-awareness, emotional regulation and freedom to lead a more meaningful , connected and autonomous life. My goal as a therapist is to help clients identify and shift nonadaptive coping patterns and behaviors so they can manage life’s struggles more effectively and move toward greater well-being and fulfillment.

I take an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from a variety of treatment modalities to meet each client’s unique needs, including:
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Psychodynamic Therapy
  • Mindfulness Training
  • Trauma-Informed Care
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) strategies
  • Client-Centered Therapy
  • Interpersonal Effectiveness Training
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

I have experience working with individuals facing depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, parenting challenges, and relationship issues—especially those that leave clients feeling drained, confused, dismissed, or doubting their own reality.
