Clinical Profile & Philosophy
My experience has included working in treatment facilities, 1-1 based treatment with children, and community-based settings. I have received extensive training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, neurological disorders, and effective parenting-based approaches. I specialize in working with both adults and children utilizing Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Reality Based Therapy to identify appropriate behaviors and encourage intellectual growth. My philosophy is that we all have the potential to grow and learn about ourselves, it takes real courage to want to make those necessary changes in order to evolve. Everyone experiences difficult times throughout their lives which can lead to emotional turmoil but depending on how you manage those symptoms as well as place those emotions in the appropriate areas is the true test. My goal as a therapist is to simply plant the seed for change and observe my clients implement the skills taught in order to establish a better life for themselves, their families, and those around them.
