Clinical Profile & Philosophy
I feel that therapy is a resource for discovering growth, resiliency, values, and self-perception to develop, change, and meet goals we set for ourselves. I approach each client with a person-centered approach because I recognize that everyone is unique and has a story to tell. Working with me is a balance of compassion and honest reflection. I create a space where people feel genuinely seen and understood. I use my sense of self to make that space feel safe and relatable. My approach is person-centered, meaning I meet each person where they are, honoring their pace and individuality. At the same time, I’m not afraid to challenge to empower and help someone grow; I believe that gentle and direct honesty can be one of the most validating experiences in therapy. You can expect to feel supported, encouraged, and pushed with empathy and respect. I hope my clients gain their sense of self, value, and uniqueness. I hope to empower my clients to believe in themselves and find joy in learning what is both important to them and what’s important for them. My 10+ years in the field of social work have included working with all ages providing therapy, case management, supervision, direct care with vulnerable populations, client advocacy, and crisis management. I typically utilize CBT, DBT, person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and play/art-based therapy with my clients.
