Clinical Profile & Philosophy
Therapy can feel intimidating, unfamiliar, and uncomfortable, and taking the first steps towards getting help and prioritizing ourselves can feel difficult, which is why I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space for every person I work with. I believe a strong, supportive, and trusting therapeutic relationship is needed for growth, healing, and meaningful change. I value being fully present and attune with my clients, and as your therapist, I will prioritize each session to meet your needs and personalize your treatment.
While pain is an unavoidable part of life, I believe we can find peace in pain by choosing our suffering. As your therapist, I will support you in gaining the insight, confidence, and skills you need to reconnect with your core values and live a life worth living.
I use gentle approaches to build trust and emotional safety, while also using direct approaches to build the confidence and vulnerablily needed to work towards meaningful change. I prioritize person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approaches, while also utilizing principles and interventions from CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing. I strive to expand my clinical knowledge to better support by clients and personalize interventions.
I have experiences working in outpatient, community-based, and group settings. I work with adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, borderline personality disorder, and ADHD. I enjoy supporting people with navigating life transitions. I am LGBTQ+ affirming.
