Clinical Profile & Philosophy

Hello! My name is Victoria, and I’m a Resident in Counseling (RIC) and a Provisional Registered Art Therapist (ATR-P). As a therapist, I utilize both talk therapy and art therapy practices in an integrative approach based in person-centered theory. I believe that all individuals are capable of growth, no matter their past or present situations. In session, my role is to help guide you in reaching your goals, establishing coping skills, and fostering self-understanding. Through working on these things, my hope is that you will feel more comfortable, confident, and accepting of who you are. In addition to using person-centered theory, I also use trauma-informed, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based, and culturally aware theories to inform my work with you. Even if we share similar life experiences to others, their impact on us is different, and I believe it is important to understand the broader context in which we live and thrive.

I currently work with all ages, and I am especially passionate about working with teens, adults, LGBTQ+, and underserved communities. In addition to outpatient therapy my experience includes working with individuals and groups of all ages, including children in a school-based setting, adolescents in a residential treatment center, and adults affected by domestic violence. I look forward to working with individuals across all populations!

Fun Fact

In my free time I enjoy reading, playing video games, and making things (art and baked goods mostly!)
