Clinical Profile & Philosophy
My professional journey began after earning my bachelor’s degree in 2019, when I spent 5 years conducting research in the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) clinic at VCU. This experience gave me the opportunity to work closely with individuals living with MS and deepened my understanding of the unique ways each person is impacted. My curiosity about the intersection between chronic illness and mental health led me to pursue a master’s in counseling.
During graduate training, I interned with VCU Health’s Neuropsychology department, where I provided care to individuals living with a variety of chronic conditions, including ALS, MS, limb loss, and chronic pain. These experiences solidified my belief in the importance of holistic, person-centered care and shaped my therapeutic approach.
I am particularly drawn to ACT and other mindfulness-based interventions, which support clients in cultivating acceptance, psychological flexibility, and self-compassion throughout life’s challenges.
