Clinical Profile & Philosophy

As an avid crocheter, I often think of life like working with yarn: there are times when your stitches tangle into knots, progress unravels, patterns don’t come out as planned, you question if you have the right tools and abilities, and you struggle to find the motivation to continue. I help clients see that these moments aren’t failures, but opportunities to pause, reflect, and choose a new way forward. My role as a therapist isn’t to stitch your life together for you, but to help you untangle what’s knotted, experiment with new patterns, and ultimately create something meaningful and authentic to you.

In practice, this process often includes helping you deepen your self-awareness, explore relationship patterns and communication, clarify values, and navigate difficult emotions in ways that are both genuine and sustainable. I am grounded in a person-centered and trauma-informed approach, and I draw from CBT, DBT, ACT, and Emotion-Focused interventions to tailor my approach to best fit your needs. I also incorporate play-based and creative interventions when helpful, to make the work more engaging and accessible.

I am especially passionate about supporting those impacted by sexual and interpersonal violence, neurodivergent folks, LGBTQ+ individuals, and children and adolescents, including those in the foster care system. Across all populations, I am open-minded, nonjudgmental, and transparent, fostering a therapeutic relationship where you feel respected, valued, and heard.

Fun Fact

I have two cats – Breezy, a cuddly girl with a deceptively grumpy face, and Cashew, an orange boy who thinks he’s part dog and loves playing fetch and walking on a leash outside.
