Clinical Profile & Philosophy

Considering therapy for yourself, family, or child can stir up a bunch of emotions or questions and feel like an uphill battle to find the “right” therapist. Many people carry misconceptions or hesitations about starting therapy. Over time, I’ve seen how powerful the process can be—creating space for healing, empowerment, and meaningful personal growth

As a therapist, my approach is linked to the idea that a strong therapeutic relationship is an essential ingredient for making real progress. So, I’m committed to being authentically myself and creating a space where you can feel comfortable, seen, and understood. You’ll quickly notice I have a laid-back approach but I’m happy to be more direct, if need be, as we work towards your goals.

Over time, I’ve found myself integrating tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) along with Gottman Method and Structural Family Therapy- all while being multiculturally aware and trauma informed. I’ve worked with a range of populations from children to adults, couples, and families in outpatient and community-based settings. I enjoy working with clients of all backgrounds. As a Black man in the mental health field, I’m particularly passionate about working with Black folks and people of color.

Fun Fact

I have a twin sister and enjoy hosting game nights with friends and family.
