Clinical Profile & Philosophy
I believe that who we are today—emotionally, physically, and socially—is a reflection of both our lived experiences and the natural functions of the human brain and behavior. Over time, our experiences can lead to deeply ingrained cognitive schemas and behavioral responses, which may become maladaptive when shaped by trauma, stress, or challenging life circumstances.
My approach to therapy is rooted in curiosity and collaboration. I ask thoughtful questions and seek to understand the full context of a person’s thoughts, feelings, behaviors, relationships, and life experiences. By gaining this insight, we can identify patterns that no longer serve you, challenge them with compassion, and work toward building healthier, more sustainable ways of thinking, connecting, behaving, and living. Working with me is often described as warm, energetic, and engaging. I show up with empathy, passion, and a deep commitment to walking alongside you as you grow and heal.
My goal is for clients to leave each session feeling more hopeful, empowered, and equipped to navigate the challenges in front of them. I hope to help individuals gain meaningful insight into their own minds and lives, understanding not just their thoughts and behaviors, but also the underlying neurobiology and broader social and developmental influences at play. Along with insight, I aim to support clients in developing tangible skills, such as emotional regulation, conflict resolution, communication, stress management interventions, that extend the impact of therapy into their everyday lives.
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and elements of structural and strategic family therapy. These approaches allow me to guide clients in
